Workplace Investigations

We conduct prompt, objective, and thorough workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistle-blower, fraud, theft, misuse of public funds and property, and all other types of employee misconduct. Our attorney investigators have extensive expertise in both private and public sector employer investigations, and we conduct all investigations in compliance with Lybarger/Garrity admonitions, Upjohn warnings, the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights, and the Firefighters Bill of Rights, as needed depending on the nature of the case. Clients will receive a well-reasoned, thoroughly analyzed report, which always includes a credibility assessment.

 

Title IX Investigations

Our Title IX investigators have conducted investigations at both private sector and public sector colleges, universities, community colleges, and K-12 schools. We are well-versed in trauma-informed forensic interview techniques, re-traumatization avoidance, the nuances of incapacitation, and how gender identity may come into play in an investigation. Our investigations are compliant with Title IX guidelines, campus policies, and the avoidance of investigator bias. We understand the frequent overlay of constitutional issues that may arise in a Title IX investigation, such as, the right to due process, reasonable searches and seizures, the right to freedom of speech, freedom from self-incrimination, and academic freedom rights of faculty.
